Guns - eh Full rack of PRG is usually the idea. IREs are good against fast and low shield targets and when you slowly want to damage an enemy rather then crsuh him (for capping.). If you'd want to go with an ID you could either switch out as needed or replace 1 IRE. IDs have there uses (mostly for capping), but wether you'd want one is up to you. Hitting an M5 with HEPTs is pretty hard, using IREs or PACs is easier (PACs should be replaced with PRGs when possible). The weapons you can use have there pros and cons. Using the 'G' key you can configure your guns, adding/removing them and enabling/disabling them for certain configurations (of which you can have 4 switchable with the 1-4 keys).

is there a way to upgrade the power capacity? or do i just have to downgrade the guns? i like the green lasers and they tear enemies up pretty well it just has no sustain it comes with 3 lasers and i had to remove 1 of them to lower the power usage, but it still shreds its power. now my only problem is after upgrading all the stats/software, the only thing its lacking is ENERGY. Im sick of the SABRE from the Terran Defender starting story, and this Barricuda ship caught my eye. It even makes a remark about being a good way to make some money or replace your ship early game.
